Project Idea
We at AIESEC believe that our first annual Career Days event will have a positive impact on the students of our University, Saint Kliment Ohridski, as well as on the surrounding region’s business sector. The students’ and participating organisations’ involvement in this project will be mutually beneficial for their respective development.
Students and recent graduates will have the opportunity to gain skills for their future career development, at the same time improving their understanding of the organizations’ employee expectations. The organizations will be able to present themselves as socially responsible, and they will have access to young individuals who can potentially contribute to the future development and management of their companies.
Project Goals
- Raising students’ awareness on the significance of internships as a life-altering experience.
- Creating a support network for a future generation of business leaders in our country, by providing opportunities for students to get in contact with business leaders and other influential individuals, and providing them access to professional skills training.
- Providing an opportunity for students and companies to meet, interact, and discuss their future goals as a potential for further cooperation.
- Stimulating students to take greater responsibility for their personal development, and motivating organisations to take greater responsibility for the development of their future employees.
- Creating a trend that allows Career Days to become an annual tradition for organizations, students, and recent graduates of our University.
- To raise awareness on our organisation – AIESEC as a professional organisation for young people to discover and develop their potential. C
Career Days 2008 : An Overview
- Day One: Educational Seminar. Student participants will have the opportunity to gain professional skills, such as CV, letter writing, and interview skills, as well as crucial knowledge for their future career development.
- Day Two: Company Fair and Presentations. Companies will have the opportunity to present themselves in front of Career Days participants, to describe their organisations and offer a profile of their ideal future employee. There will also be individual presentations by the students on their personal knowledge and skills.
- Day Three: Interview Sessions. Companies and organizations will have the opportunity to chose candidates for an interview, in order to future employees.
